The National and State Leadership of Labour Party as recognized by INEC had concluded the primary election that saw Engr Kehinde Alusi emerging as the candidate of Labour Party for the bye election that will be held in Surulere Federal Constituency 1 on 3rd February 2024.
The news of another purported primary election conducted by a faceless group led by Clement Ojukwu is undeniably an irredeemable ruse. This impostor and serial fraud have been restrained from parading himself as a National Officer of the Labour Party through an order of the Federal High Court in Federal Capital Territory delivered on the 5th April, 2023. It is so unfortunate that their so-called candidate fell for their usual antics of deception.
Clement Ojukwu has a stenched chronicle of unquestionable antecedents. What they had done is just too far from a party primary election rather a familiarization get-together rendezvous. We are alerting the security agencies to go after them as their action is geared towards disrupting the anticipated peaceful conduct of the election.
We are using this medium to admonish our supporters particularly members of Labour Party in Surulere Federal Constituency 1 not to lose sleep over their orchestrated anti people action rather they should remain calm as we are several steps ahead of Clement Ojukwu and his cohorts. We will not in any way entertain their distractions as we are more focused on winning the main election thereby instituting a people-centered legislative representation.
Engr. Kehinde Alusi despite being a calm and generous personality will not sit by and allow very disgruntled elements to discredit a lawful process that led to his emergence as the candidate of the Labour Party for the February 3rd 2024 bye election in Surulere Federal Constituency 1. Above all, the loyal members of the Labour Party will not be allowed to be led astray by the same colony of political chauvinists.
Our campaign program will be unveiled in the coming days to sell our good intentions to the people of Surulere Federal Constituency 1. It’s time for a truly people focused legislative representation.
