Lagos Island East Chairman by, Hon. Muibi Folawiyo aka Pepper, hosted the national youth’s council of Nigeria Lagos island east LCDA 2024 at the inauguration ceremony, where the Chairman gave them his words of supports that it is a laudable things that as being done and that he is ensuring them his total support because their are party of him and he is part of them, let’s build Lagos east island together and make it our place and a place to make wealth. Lagos state chapter, says the narratives has to change, this is an election not selection, he honour every one that won the election by the people’s choice through voting them into office and are present for the inauguration ceremony today, he told them we are there to work and at the end we will make Lagos island proud, Lagos excellence and ourselves greater men and women. He Also makes some demands from the Chairman to enable them have a conducive working environment, like he said the should provide for them a Siemens bus, office, money to run this office be it monthly the Chairman should fixes it etc. The old ex-cos where call out and dissolve and the new officers where swearing with their pledges. Comrades mrs. Agboola kaosara Olusakemi emerged as the newest coordinator, National youths council Nigeria Lagos island east LCDA minimum of four years in the office. Hon. Olanrewaju Afinni, member Lagos state house of assembly was present and he gave his speech by appreciating the efforts and the trust they have in him by letting them at the federal levels to know and be part of this we are with your. It is a formidable step for the better growth of our youth in Lagos island east and Lagos state at large we need ourselves together as a team to fine tunnel things in Lagos island.

In this piece, Editor -in -Chief Jane Osamor, speaks with thr Lagos island east council chairman Major Muibi Alade Folawiyo, takes a sharp look at efforts been made to boost and make way for the youth to be part of leadership at all times while adding value to the society as far as the Lagos Island East Local Government Council.
How do you feel about this well put together event today
I am so elated, I am so excited. It is not an easy journey. what we are doing today and we are going all out for the masses
It takes a lot of brilliance to add to what we are doing today but to God be the glory it has come to say it take alot of perseverance, empowerment and alot of settlement and a whole world and when it comes to be very selective then we must be ready to face rivalry or competition you can see the results and all other appointees were all represented here last week and this will make it very okay and by the grace of God all will be well at the end of the day
I know what it means to be a good leader and what good leadership means or entails
To God be the glory we are able to see the results of our election
What is your advice to them
It is very simple and that is the fact that they should work as a team players and at the same time they should believe in themselves while helping to settle out conflicts. There is no way where there are youth the most be crisis that there won’t be conflicts, it is a lie, but the ability to settling conflict is the key to the success of their administration
If we have admonished them that conflicts could come up but they should try as much as possible Incase they should not agree they should have somebody to interfere into the settlement of such a conflict
How open are your doors to them
They know me,they are my people and can call me at any point in time as I do not have any visiting time as long I am in the office they are my babies and I also inculcate them into my Government.
The youth are leaders of tomorrow, Wil they have a space
Before we got here I was given a space . and in my late ,30s and as at today there is no position I have not held as am party chairman
I will continue to create opportunities or avenues for our teeming youths
If you are not a youth, the Lagos Island Local Government Area alone, (West or East) gives opportunities for public administration and it is through this we can get alot I experience
The position of a Local Government Chairman is not meant for a dullard,a fraud or scammer you must have acquired one experience or to he other before you can seat on that table
Lagos Island also acknowledge this and not only in All Progressive Congress,(APC) but also in other political parties
They may recognize the experience in choosing who needs them.
How do u incubate the youth and then empowering them?
Just recently Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State added Sunday Market into the markets space.
This is how the Governor creates to the vote if he does who are you to stop as he is the custodian of Lagos State, No matter the situation the interest of the youth must be factored into it. In the whole of our program there is no way we will do a program in Lagos State not only in a Local Government that the interests of the youth will not be inculcated into it, and we are key to development.
