Residents of Kosofe Local Government Area were smiling ear to ear as the council distributed food items to 1,000 beneficiaries under the Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu free food palliative programme.
Newsconnect reports that the exercise was duly supervised by the Executive Chairman, Hon Barr Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe who ensured due diligence in the process of distributing the food items.
The programme was seamlessly executed across the various communities and wards in Kosofe, through the efforts of Barr. Ogunlewe, who ensured the free food items reached the intended recipients.
Residents could not hide their joy, expressing gratitude to the governor for the laudable initiative.
Prayers and well-wishes poured in from the beneficiaries, who commended the state government’s gesture in alleviating the burden of the people during these trying times. The distribution exercise was a testament to the administration’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens.
“We are grateful to Governor Sanwo-Olu for this kind gesture. It will go a long way in cushioning the effects of the current economic situation,” said one of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Funke Mutairu.
