The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo Olu has presented a brand new car to sensational Nigeria-British Citizen, Pelumi Nubi who did a solo drive from London to Nigeria.

Pelumi Nubi had embarked on a solo drive from London to Lagos State on the 31st of January, 2024. During the adventure, she passed through over 27 countries such as France, Spain, Morocco among many others. She was also involved in an accident during the trip while she was in Ivory Coast.
During the adventure, Pelumi had numerous experiences, many of which she documented and shared on her social media handles. However, despite all the challenges, Pelumi arrived safely in Lagos Nigeria on the 7th of April and she received a tumultuous welcome by many supporters in Lagos State.
A day after her arrival, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu hosted Pelumi and presented her a brand new car as a gesture of support. In addition to this, Goldmyne TV reported that Governor Sanwo Olu also gave Pelumi a new home in Lagos State as well as a customized number plate.
The Governor has also made Pelumi the brand ambassador of Tourism in Lagos State.
In the spirit of reciprocity, Pelumi donated the vehicle she drove from London to Lagos as a monumental gift to a museum in Lagos State, John Dandle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History.
