PDP governorship aspirant for Ogun State in the 2023 general elections, Segun Showunmi, was in the United States of America on Wednesday July 19 to address the US Congress on some key issues affecting Nigeria as a country.

Fabulous international magazine gathered that, Showunmi, among other things, touched on the need for the US to assist in building a functional Police system.

He also urged the Congress to open up the US Bond market to Nigeria.

Another area was for the US government to invest in the capacity of Nigeria’s political parties in order to deepen democracy, as well as show more interest in the people of Nigeria rather than the government of Nigeria.
