2023 matriculation of the newly intake of the Royal City College of Education students been sworn in for fresh academic section. Our relationship with Ekiti State university has been very cordial and here in Royal City College of Education we offers NCE, National Certificates of education. and we run a sandwich degree programme in affiliation with Ekiti State university, having seen the standard we have here because NUC has to make sure for you to run a University program there most be a standard you are to maintain. Royal City College of Education has all it takes to run a degree sandwich program with Ekiti State University and all most everything comes from Ekiti State University. They make sure that the lectures we have a up to standards, the quality education we render are out of non and they monitor that , so, we are working hand in hand with Ekiti State University.
The Federal Government has been enjoined to partner with the private sector in order to put our educational institutions on a sound footing.
Speaking at the 4th matriculation ceremony of the Royal City College, Iyana-Iyesi,Ota,Ogun State on Friday, the Founder of the College,Bishop Tom Samson said if the government allocates 80 percent of the budget on education was not too much.
As he put it:” Look at United States, United Kingdom,China and other developing countries, they put premium on education.If we set aside 80 percent
of the budget on education is not too much if we want to succeed and advance as a nation.”
He noted that he set up the College because he felt that the government can not do it alone.
Bishop Samson advised the matriculating students to either uphold the moral standard existing in the College or face expulsion.
His words: “Our students must maintain moral standard based on the fear of God.The quality of teachers is very
important.The Bible says in Proverb 22:6 “Train your child the way he should go,when he grows up,he would not depart from it”
Bishop Samson who is also the General Overseer of Christ Royal Family International Churches said apart from maintaining sound moral standard the College ” will also provide entrepreneur facilities for skill acquisition for the new set. so that they can be become self-sufficient”
The Provost of the College,Dr Remi Ogunfunwa praised the founder of the College for his vision in setting up the institution adding that,” many pastors and bishops who established tertiary institutions starts at university level “
“Bishop Samson being a graduate of education knew the importance of starting at the College level”
A total number of 86 students matriculated on the occasion.
