The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, Mr Osuala Edwin has stated the determination of the Corps in collaboration with other sister security agencies to secure the lives and properties of Anambra residents.
Mr. Osuala stated this on Monday June, 17, 2023 when he visited Prof. Solo Osita Chukwulobelu, the Secretary to the State Government at the Government House Awka.
The NSCDC State helmsman revealed that with the robust cooperation of the state government, the Corps will work assiduously to ensure speedy response to security threats in the state. He commended the State Government for their intentional assistance to security agencies in the state and requested for more operational support to improve the efficiency of the Corps in tackling crime and criminality across the state.
Mr. Osuala urged members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the NSCDC or any other sister security agencies nearest to them. Emphasising on the importance of community participation in maintaining a secure environment, he urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in their deliberate effort to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the criminal activities across the state.
In his response, the SSG extolled the efforts of the NSCDC towards reducing the spate of criminal activities in certain parts of the state that constitute unnecessary cogs in the wheel of progress of Anambra State.
He assured the state Commandant, the readiness of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo’s administration to support NSCDC and other security agencies at all times to enable them carry out their statutory roles of maintaining law and order.
Prof. Chukwulobelu explained that Governor Soludo accords the protection of lives and properties of residents topmost priority hence will not relent in efforts aimed at providing them necessary operational support to work with.
