The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant of Corps Usman Alfadarai, fdc, mnim, mpa, fisn, fcss, in the later hours of yesterday, Tuesday, 27th June, 2023 joined, the Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, to welcome the President and Commander – in – Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to Lagos.
The President’s arrival was also greeted, by a high – powered watertight security arrangements at the Lagos Airport yesterday.
In a bid to make this year’s Sallah Celebration free from any form of untoward security breaches as regards the Corps’ mandate, it should be recalled that the Lagos State Commandant, Usman Alfadarai has earlier deployed over one thousand eight hundred ( 1800 ) officers and men around the nooks and crannies of the state.
However, following the arrival of the Father of the nation, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, into the state, yesterday, Commandant Alfadarai has also redoubled his efforts in the areas of operational planning and strategies, interagency collaboration and intelligent gathering and sharing mechanisms, amidst others to ensure that his personnel work closely, with the personnel of other security agencies, in a bid to improve upon the earlier operational plans of the command, so as to achieve the maximum required peace, calmness, tranquility, safety and security of lives and property, of the entire people in the state.
He further charged the Management of the command, the Acting Head of Operation, Assistant Commandant of Corps, Adio Modinat, Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and other Heads of Tactical Units and Crack Squads of the command, to ensure no stone is left unturned, operationally, in a bid to optimally and confidently, protect the critical national assets and infrastructure of government(s) during and after this year’s Sallah celebration.
