In less than 24 hours, 21 Governors from the PDP, APC, and Labour have visited President Bola Tinubu in Lagos to pay homage to him as we mark the Yuletide. Even Fubara was there. Alex Otti was at his residence yesterday to sing his praises.

Peter Obi has been criticising the President. Has even one Labour Party Governor paid a courtesy visit to him this season? That ought to tell you something. You can criticise these Governors, but they represent you and have a more significant stake in governance because of their positions.

They realise that once an election has been won, you bury the hatchet until the next election. Maturity is working with people you may or may not like for a purpose you like. I will not just unthinkingly criticise Bola Tinubu because he is not in my party. If he does well, he should be supported. If he does not do well, he should be opposed. None of which means that I will not do my best, along with my party, to unseat him in 2027 democratically.
