Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has passed away, according to the Ondo State Government. The late governor of Ondo state passed away in a German hospital early on Wednesday morning.
Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, the state commissioner of information and orientation, stated that Akeredolu’s cause of death was prostate cancer.
According to her, Governor Akeredolu passed away in Germany while undergoing treatment for complications brought on by long-term prostate cancer.
According to Vanguard, “Mr Governor gently died from this world in the early hours of today, Wednesday, December 27, 2023,” according to the statement.
“This tragedy has left us with a deep emotional hole. As Governor Akeredolu was in Germany for medical treatment, he answered the call of eternity. He passed away from complications brought on by his long-term prostate cancer.
“Governor Akeredolu was a remarkable leader whose unshakable commitment to the state and its people was both commendable and exceptional.”
“He was not only the Governor of Ondo State, but he also became a famous champion for the entire Southwest area and the nation.”
“Governor Akeredolu was a fearless leader and a model of integrity.” The weight of this loss is genuinely crushing. “We take comfort in knowing that Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu lived a purposeful life, devoted to the service of God Almighty.”
According to the commissioner, a letter was written to President Bola Tinubu to officially inform him of the tragic news.
