NSCDC , NIGERIAN ARMY SYNERGIZE FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Joint Task Force Operation UDO KA II, Major General Hassan Taiwo Dada has assured Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) of assistance to train and retrain its officers with a view to having optimal performance.

The GOC gave the assurance when he received in audience , ACG Solomon T. Iyamu fsi , the Assistant Commandant General (ACG) in charge of Zone K Awka comprising Anambra and Enugu State respectively on a courtesy visit in his office, 82 Division Nigerian Army, Enugu on Tuesday 21st November, 2023.

Gen Dada, stated that , he was highly delighted to receive the ACG, pointing out that such mutual visit always provide an opportunity for both agencies to exchange ideas or concepts that will yield mutual benefits for all.

” I want to thank you for checking up on us. I have listened to your request in the areas of training and retraining, be rest assured that we are going to grant all you have asked to improve your operational capacity as this would aid in fostering inter-agency collaboration and synergy between the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps” he reiterated.

The GOC urged the ACG to cascade the message of synergy to his subordinates on the need for collaboration rather than friction and rivalry among security agencies to nip any crime in the bud.

Earlier in his address , the Assistant Commandant General, Solomon Iyamu fsi, expressed his joy and gratitude for the warm reception accorded him and his team, pledging his readiness to cooperate and synergize with the Army for a peaceful environment within his area of responsibility.

While requesting for perfect synergy, joint training, and retraining of officers and men of the Zone , he assured the General officer Commanding of his avowed commitment to remain dedicated towards the safety of lives, property and protection of critical national assets belonging to the Federal, State, and Local governments amongst others in the Zone.

” It is my pleasure to be in your Division to introduce myself and to solicit for your support as partners in progress. Issue of security cannot be done by a single organization, no matter how equipped, hence the need for collective responsibility of all security agencies.

” NSCDC and the Nigeian Army have continuously maintained a good working relationship and I am here to seek for more of that collaboration especially in the areas of information sharing, training and re- training and any other areas of mutual interest ” he stated.

The ACG was accompanied on the visit by Comdt. Edwin Osuala, Anambra State Commandant, Comdt. Edwin Ugwuja, 2ic to the ACG, DCC Anthony Anyachebelu, Hod Ops Enugu State Command, Representing the state Commandant, DCC ( Barr.) Chidi Nwibe , Head of Legal Department Zone K, ACC AH Rogo, Head of Investigation & Intelligence Dept Enugu State Command, DSC Okadigbo Edwin, Anambra State Command PRO and ASC II Uche Enya , Protocol Officer to ACG.
