The State Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, MFR, fdc, mnim, mpa, fcss, fisn, embarked, on an inspection visit, to the Badagry Division of the command, where he addressed, officers and men and charged, them to be good and great ambassadors of the Corps, in their various respective beats, points and stations.
He further seized, the visit, to prime all Area Commanders and Divisional Officers, in the state to brace up against the activities of unscrupulous elements in their domain, which sometimes lead to vandalism of critical national assets and infrastructure and needless unruly social cahos or brouhaha.
Therefore, the Lagos State Commandant, has called, on its principal officers, serving at the six ( 6 ) Area Commands, twenty ( 20 ) Divisions and the thirty seven ( 37 ) sub – divisions in the Local Government Areas ( LGAs ) and Local Council Development Authorities ( LCDAs ), of the state, to work in close-knit, with all sister agencies stationed, in their Area of Responsibility ( AOR ), in a bid to nip insecurity in the bud.
The Lagos State Commandant, Usman Alfadarai, however, commended, his Area Commanders and Divisional Officers for their efforts so far, in securing their AORs but also directed, them to brace up against any form of attacks on our public wealth as we gradually, snowball towards the end of the year.
“To whom much is given much is expected,” Alfadarai said.
While addressing the officers and men, of the Division, he further affirmed, the need for credible and actionable intelligence, as a nonnegotiable tool to predict, analyse and prevent attacks on our communities, which house schools, worship centres; churches and mosques, national assets and infrastructure such as power stations, transformers, oil and gas pipelines, rail stations and lines, sleepers, telecommunication cables, masts, hospitals, water pipes and installations et ce tera.
The State Commandant and his entourage encountered, a warm reception, from the aforementioned, Division, commanded, by Superintendent of Corps Voki John Oghoghome.
The inspection took place while the State Commandant returned, from the offices, of the Comptrollers of Customs and Immigration services at the Seme Joint Border, on Tuesday, 3rd October, 2023, where he went to cement the already established, synergy between both agencies respectively.
