Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, to launch Renewed Hope Initiative, unveils governing board

First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu is set to launch Renewed Hope Initiative as non-governmental organisation that will focus on empowerment for various segment of the society.

Senator Tinubu held the inaugural meeting of the governing board of the organisation at the State House over the weekend.

The first lady according to available information is pursuing her intervention programmes to support her husband’s administration in continuous commitment to diligently fulfill the components of the campaign mantra of ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ and to achieve tremendous growth for all Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.

The Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) as an NGO will cater for Nigerian women, youths and children, and vulnerable people, with a focus on agriculture, economic empowerment, social investment and healthcare delivery.

Members of the governing board of the about-to-be-launched organisation include the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, wife of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mrs. Salamatu Gbajabiamila, wife of the Senate President, Mrs. Unoma Akpabio and Imo State first lady, Chioma Uzodimma.

Other board members of the organisation are; All Progressives Congress National Women Leader, Dr. Beta Edu and wife of former Kano State Governor, Professor Hafsat Ganduje
