Today, Sunday, 31st December, 2023, the Public Relations Officer ( PRO ), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Deputy Superintendent of Corps Abolurin Oluwaseun took meaningful time to sensitize young children and parents in Agege, against indulgence in social vices and the abuse of drugs, which will certainly, have adverse effect on their lives and education careers.
The PRO seized, the opportunity to re – echo, the warnings of the State Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, MFR, fdc, mnim, fcss, against the very serious issues related, to sexual molestations, assaults, harassments, rape and abuse of drugs, which oftentimes influence the habits and shape the characters of our young children negatively and in turn make them susceptible and vulnerable species, to crimes and criminalities in our society.
However, the right attitude, quality parenting, right associations, abstinence, adequate monitoring and proper care, radical and digital re – orientation and sensitization, engagement rather than mere punishment of children were amongst the many items that have been raised, to profer solutions, to the menace already caused, by abuse of drugs.
The program was facilitated, by Menitos Charity Foundation, led its Founder and Project Lead, Mrs Daramola Toluwalope. Present at the occasion also include Beelhally foundation and the representative of the
National Drug Law Enforcement Agency amidst other partners.
