The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, fdc, mnim, mpa, fisn, fcss, MFR, has once again renewed, the synergy between the Corps and the Lagos State Security Trust Fund ( LSSTF ).

The Corps’ collaboration with the aforementioned organization has produced several fruitful results in the past resulting to enhanced security and safety of lives and property in the state.

Today, Wednesday, 6th September, 2023, the Lagos State Commandant of the NSCDC, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, in a bid to make the state much more secured and safer for all Nigerians and foreign nationals, who reside in it, visited, the Executive Secretary / Chief Executive Officer of LSSTF, Hon., Dr Abdulrasaq Balogun, where matters surrounding the mandates of the Corps; protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, protection of agro – allied investment and school safety programmes were analytically discussed and deeply internalized.

Alfadarai noted that there was need to solicit the support of the LSSTF and other relevant stakeholders in the state, particularly, for the Corps to collectively, achieve its mandate in the state as security remains a collective business anywhere in the world.

However, Hon., Dr Abdulrasaq Balogun, the LSSTF’s Executive Secretary/CEO, charged, the Corps to do more at the grassroot level but however, commended it for its proactive roles in stemming the tide of insecurity in schools, protection of critical national assets and infrastructure; oil and gas pipelines, water, transport, power, communication and rail installations as enumerated by the Lagos State Commandant amongst others during the robust discussion.

The LSSTF was also commended for its unflinching support towards the Corps in Lagos, with the provision of operational vehicles and gadgets in a bid to collectively, fight crimes, protect our critical national assets and infrastructure and burst the hideouts, creeks and black spots of unrepentant oil thieves and vandals, who contribute to the economic quagmire of citizens in the state.

Signed.
