The prophetic hall of fame, prophet Godwin Ikuru of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry has berated the Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki for empowering his state vigilante network to use riffles which he alleged were been used against the political opponents of the governor.
Speaking about the issues happening in Edo state, the prophet maintained that the forthcoming governorship election in the state will be in jeopardy if the vigilante activities in the state are not curtailed “I want to tell governor Obaseki to suspend vigilante activities in the state because he’s using them to his boon, I’m calling on Mr President, the Inspector General of Police and the commissioner of police in Edo to disarm and suspend the activities of those scallywags that are masquerading themselves as vigilantes until after the forthcoming governorship election because Obaseki is insistent on manoeuvring and causing mayhem through them for his anointed candidate to emerge triumphant in the election”
The prophet emphasized the need for a free and fair election so that the people of the state can get the dividends of democracy “We want a free and fair election in Edo state, we don’t want anyone to use cohesion to steal the mandate of the people, let’s have a free and fair election void of intimidation and terrorization”.
