NSCDC REITERATES COMMITMENT TO WELFARE OF PERSONNEL

The Anambra State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Comdt. Maku Olatunde, has reaffirmed the Commandant General’s dedication to the welfare of serving and deceased officers and men.

Comdt. Maku stated this on Friday at the State Command Headquarters Awka while presenting NSCDC Anambra State Command welfare package to the family of the late Chief Superintendent of Corps, Dunu Grace who died in active service.

He explained that the gesture underscores the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi’s, commitment to supporting the well-being of both serving and fallen personnel.

“This welfare package is part of the Commandant General’s initiative to mitigate the financial hardship experienced by the immediate family of the deceased before they receive their death benefits.

“This considerate initiative aims to provide a vital lifeline to support the family during a difficult time , ensuring they do not face unnecessary financial strain while awaiting their entitlements ” he stated.

The NSCDC State helmsman, while offering condolences to the family on behalf of the Commandant General, reiterated the Corps’ unwavering commitment to prioritizing the welfare of its personnel and acknowledging their selfless sacrifices.

He said “although the loss of your loved one can never be fully replaced, this token represents a tangible expression of the NSCDC ‘s dedication to the welfare of officers, demonstrating that their well-being remains a top priority.

Commandant Maku further assured the public that the Command’s officers and men will continue to strive for excellence in maintaining the peace, security, and safety of Anambra State, upholding their dedication to serving and protecting all Critical National, State and Local Government Assets and infrastructure in the state in line with the Corps mandate.

In response, Mrs. Nwanneka Dunu, sister of the late officer, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Commandant General for his firm resolve to support the families of deceased personnel, ensuring they are not left to fend for themselves. She offered prayers for the continued progress and success of the NSCDC and Anambra State Command, thanking them for their kindness and support during her family’s time of need.
