The giant strides of Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe in the last three years as the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government were promoted at a Grand finale of one week activities earmarked to mark the landmark achievements .
Newsconnect reports that Ogunlewe who had commissioned roads across the seven wards in Kosofe during the week equally distributed brand new transformers to eight Communities, commissioned blocks of Classrooms and bore-holes in addition to other good intervention his administration has been doing for his people.
The stakeholders at the event opined he deserves to be celebrated and projected so other local government Chairmen can emulate him.
The Minister of State for Youth Honourable Ayodele Olawande said
it is time for Politicians to focus on grassroot and bring good to the people.
In his remarks while giving his goodwill Message, he said;
“The youth Chairman has made us special, he has proved that a lot can be done. The truth is that we are proud of him. Thank you for not disappointing us, he has done marvelously well.
“What is happening here today, the President want it to happen across all the 774 LG. We give kudos to Governor of Lagos State and the Chairman of Kosofe local government.
“The young people of this country are the formidable youth I have ever knew. I need to use this medium to thank the youth for their resilience. I am employing you to keep calm, I am appealing to the young people that we are almost there, there is unity in diversity.
“Don’t come to this town and make it a target of destruction, this govt is for the masses. In the next two years, you will feel the pact of this administration”. He said
The Leader of the house Honourable Oluloro Idowu on behalf of the councillors said the Chairman is a man one can work with, he is a listening Chairman. They said he works according to what they sent to him, and for this they are endorsing him for the second term.
In his words, he said;
“KOSOFE councilors support the return of Ogunlewe. We are working with a good Chairman, that is worth working with, he takes care of us”.
Patron of Garden Valley Estate in Ogudu GRA, Elder Asijie said It has been a pleasure of having a Chairman like Moyo in Kosofe. He said he has demonstrated what is expected of a leader, and politician to every community irrespective of party affiliation.
He said;
“Not everybody voted for him, he has struggled, but when God said it is now Moyo’s time to help the people of Kosofe LG, he emerged .
“I want you all to join hands with him so that his second coming will be very easy. I appeal to you market leaders to assist him to climb the ladder the second term so that he can achieve more”. He said
The CDC Chairman Honourable Segun Babatunde in his remarks said Ogunlewe has surpassed the imagination of everybody in the history of Kosofe Local Government in terms of infrastructural development, for this, he appealed to the people to return him so he can do more.
The Council Manager Kosofe Local Government reiterated that they are opportuned to have the Chairman in the helms of affairs in Kosofe. They said he has done wonderfully well among the Chairmen in Nigeria at large.
“This is a man that is very proactive, he has interest of people in his heart. He has performed exceedingly very well. KOSOFE local Government was adjudged the best in staff capacity building courtesy of the vibrant Chairman”.
APC LGA Chairman in Kosofe Alhaji Kehinde Bello said some curious people often ask him if the Chairman has held a political office before considering how diligent and proactive he is towards addressing salient issues. According to him, he often answers some saying perhaps he has inherited the political influence traits from his background.
