HON. SETONJI APPEARS IN A NEW LOOK AT THE CHAMBER AFTER A 3 MONTH BREAK; EXTENDS A DEEP GRATITUDE TO FELLOW PRINCIPAL OFFICERS, HONOURABLE MEMBERS, OTHERS FOR STANDING BY HIM DURING & AFTER WIFE’S DEATH
The Hallowed Chamber of the Lagos State House of Assembly was left in awe of sighting Honourable Setonji David when he appeared in a new look with grey beards after his break off legislative duties for three months. It was an exciting moment of smiles and hugs to receive him during yesterday’s Plenary.
During the session, Hon. Setonji David tendered his appreciation to the leadership of the House, Honourable Members, staffers in various capacities for their support towards him during the passing away of his wife – Mrs Adenike Beatrice David who left this world on 23rd May 2024 and laid to rest on 13th of June 2024.
In particular, he exuded honour and homage to the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly – Rt. Hon. Dr. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa for his kindness during such a trying time. He took into words how much he was shown undying love over the months which became his succour and shoulders he has been leaning on all along.
He drove within perfect lines, how he keeps reminiscing about the words, the punchlines, pep talks of the assemblymen and how they’ve been holding his mind, soul, spirit and body together, equipping his mental self for the tasks ahead.
