Upon his return from London, United Kingdom, where he had completed a Doctorate in Islamic Law at the University of London, United Kingdom, thousands of supporters and well-wishers welcomed the reinstated Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi, also known as Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, on August 25, 2024.
According to a post made by Kano Ta Dabo Tumbin Giwa Via their Facebook account, the reinstated Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi was received by thousands of his supporters on his return from London, United Kingdom after he had completed a Doctorate in Islamic Law at the University of London, United Kingdom. In a video posted by the Chief Executive Officer of RadioNow 95.3FM, Kadaria Ahmed, Malam Sanusi could be seen getting emotional after he was told that his thesis on: “Codification of Islamic Family Law as an Instrument of Social Reform: A Case Study of the Emirate of Kano and Comparison with the Kingdom of Morocco.” was approved without any correction.
Rumour has it that Malam Muhammadu Sanusi, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), began his doctoral studies in London just days after being deposed as Emir of Kano by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s administration; five months later, he was formally conferred with a doctorate for his work.
