Police Condemn Gwoza Bombings, Deploy Additional Resources to Prevent Further Attacks

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has condemned the recent suicide bombings in Gwoza, Borno State, which resulted in loss of lives and injuries.

The IGP extended condolences to the affected families and deployed additional personnel and resources to bolster security in the state.

The Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit, in collaboration with the Nigerian Army EOD Unit, is conducting clearance operations to ensure no further threats in Borno State and its neighboring states.

The IGP reiterated the police’s commitment to working with security agencies and stakeholders to combat criminal and violent attacks.

He urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the police.
