The Ogun II Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has announced a significant achievement in revenue generation, exceeding its target by 51% in the first half of 2024.

According to Comptroller Olusola Bisi Alade, the command generated N12.8 billion between January and June, compared to N8.5 billion in the corresponding period of 2023.

The command’s revenue collection improved steadily from April to June, with a significant leap in June.

The success is attributed to the diligence and professionalism of customs officers, as well as the discovery of new factories and improved engagement with the trading community.

The command has commended the support of the Customs Management and stakeholders, and encourages continued compliance with fiscal policies.
