While talking with the media, Isaac Anumudu, a Nigerian Lawyer and Public Analyst talked about the petitions filed against the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Bola Tinubu at the tribunals.

He stated some things that may disqualify Bola Tinubu at the tribunals, and also some punishments for offending some of the electoral guidelines in Nigeria. While Isaac Anumudu was talking, he said “The Nigerian constitution states that anyone who is found guilty of double nomination will be sentenced to 2 years imprisonment”.

“And Kashim Shettima was nominated twice for senator and later as VP in the same electoral year, and that’s an offense punishable by law of the federal republic of Nigeria”.

Isaac Anumudu also said that if Tinubu escapes the 25% votes that he didn’t get in the FCT, will he be able to escape the double nomination and several other petitions filed against him? Isaac Anumudu believes that Tinubu could not survive the court, based on the petitions filed against him.
