Glitz, glamour, and heartfelt gratitude filled the air as friends, family, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Blessed Water Industry Worldwide Ltd, Dr Mrs Victoria Omobolanle Oginni’s milestone 70th birthday.
The event began with a thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Victory Chapel, Province 59, Magodo GRA, Lagos.
In his word of exhortation, the Senior Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Victory Chapel, Pastor Benjamin Ajayeoba, urged the people to live a life of impact.
According to him, life is not about achievements only, but about the impact one makes in the lives of the people around one.
He said: “God has created us to be a blessing to the world, but we cannot do it successfully until we abide in Christ.
“As the Lord said in John 5:15, ‘Without me, you can do nothing.”
Ajayeoba described Oginni as an icon, an ardent giver, so generous that she impacted on the lives of many, in and out of the church.
Amidst praises, the cleric also attributed her long life and successes in business to the grace of God.
He, thereafter, prayed that she would flourish like a palm tree and grow like the cedar in Lebanon.
“You will celebrate100 years in good health, live up to 120 years and be strong too.”
Similarly, Mr Dele Oginni, celebrant’s first son, described his mother as a caring mother and a business savvy individual who excels in whatever she does.
“I am happy to see a huge turnout for ny mother’s birthday despite the biting economic hardship in the country.
“I wish her well in good health, long life and happiness,” he said.
Also, Socialite and businesswoman Chief Jokotade Oni described Mrs Oginni whom she said they’ve known for close to 50 years as one in a million, a lover of God and a cheerful giver.
Speaking with journalists on the sidelines, Mrs Oginni urged wealthy Nigerians to impact positively on the lives of others, especially the less privileged.
She advised them to live selflessly and contribute to the society they live in.
“What is the essence of having been blessed and not impacting on the lives of your people?
“Sharing the little I have gives me joy and happines,” She said
The celebrant also urged young business women to be honest and have the fear of God in whatever they do.
Oginni stressed that young businesswomen should maintain their integrity.
She insisted that integrity and honesty would take every serious minded businessman or woman to greater heights in life beyond imagination.
The occasion was attended by prominent Nigerians, including captains of industry, politicians, community leaders, traditional rulers and business associates.
They testified about her love for humanity, act of generosity to people in and out of the church, where she is a deaconess.
A testifier, Mrs Popoola Adeyinka reffered to the celebrant as her mentor adding that she is an encourager and supporter who does not flinch at making sure one succeeds in whatever he or she does.
On his part, Mr Ademokun Adebola Joshua, a staff of Blessed Water Ltd, described Mrs Oginni as a giver and philanthropist per excellence.
“She is also a disciplinarian, however, she does not keep grudges whatsoever.”
Earlier, in her citation, Mrs Oginni was described as one of the pioneers of Pure Water business in Nigeria with several branches spread across the country.
