The member representing Ideato North South Federal Constituency of Imo State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere, has, during a press conference, alleged the National Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is working for the pro-Wike lawmakers of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The lawmaker had said, “We have called you today to give you updates of the recent happenings in the Peoples Democratic Party, following the now confirmed report which spread from last week about PDP filing papers in Court secretly in aid of the defected 27 members of the Rivers House of Assembly who are no longer lawmakers after they left the PDP for APC, and their seat were declared vacant. While we cannot speak about the issue of bribery allegation and the receipt of the sum of $2million by those behind this shocking act of betrayal of their own party, we can however authoritatively speak to you about only what we can, and have confirmed to be facts and to be true. Recall that the PDP through the legal advisor deliberately misled the public and party members when he denied the allegation of existence of such a legal process, where PDP headquarters gave authorization for the sacked APC lawmaker to be reinstated using one Dr. Musa Joshua (SAN), fellow party men, the party headquarters lied, and here today, we have the hard evidence and copy of the documents to show that those we left in Wadata House are capable of destroying this party.”
